Elephant Valley lodge lies within a private concession in the Lesoma Valley – the game rich area between the Matetsi Reserve and Chobe. An active “Discovery Channel” waterhole where numerous species including elephant, buffalo and leopard have been seen, ensure game viewing continues long after guests have finished their game drives in Chobe National Park.
Accommodation
Each of the twenty Meru styled luxury tents, five of which are situated alongside the waterhole, are comfortably furnished and have their own en suite facilities (shower, toilet and basin) and a private deck.
The main lodge incorporates a thatched deck that has a clear view of the waterhole. Meals and drinks are served here and are often accompanied by a parade of game.
Game and birdlife is plentiful in Chobe. The area along the Chobe River is world renown for its huge herds of elephant that can be seen in the dry winter months. Smaller herds can been all year round. Of special interest are the puku and red lechwe which can be seen on the edge of the Chobe riverbank.
