Game activities at Elephant Valley Lodge
Elephant Valley Lodge lies in a private concession about 20 minutes away from the main entrance to the park. There are no fences around the national park so it is possible to see excellent wildlife in the surrounding areas en route to the Chobe entrance.
Chobe is renown for the massive herds of elephant especially in the dry seasons. It is possible to see smaller herds throughout the year. Wildlife and birdlife in Chobe is plentiful and varied with only rhino being the notable exception. Elephant Valley Lodge offers the following in house game activities:
- Morning game drives in Chobe National park in open game drive vehicles are accompanied by knowledgeable guides.
- Afternoon Chobe River cruises inthe private Elephant Valley Lodge boats are an excellent way to enjoy the huge herds of elephant that drink and frolic in the Chobe River.

A secluded hide lies next to the next to the waterhole for close up game viewing
There is an outside boma which is used when weather permits for outdoor African dining
The lodge has an unobtrusive game fence around it
Children are welcome, but children under 6 years are not permitted on game activities. A stretcher/camper bed can be added to the parent’s tent for young children.
